Arizona County Managers trying to threaten First Amendment Rights

Does this Administration Think We are Really that Gullible?

The BHO administration and their press corp must think that we the people are a bunch of mindless fools. They have talked since the campaign about cutting the budget and going “line by line” to find the “waste”. Well, their idea of a budget that is responsible to the American people is a $3,600,000,000,000 budget. They deem waste in the budget not bureaucratic social programs that run inefficiently, no they deem our national defense to be wasteful spending.
And just this week, after much hype by the BHO press corp about the administration responding to last weeks Tea Party events across America that saw as of right now 696,896 people showing their dislike of the government control of the private sector and runaway spending and increase taxes for every American. The Americans that came to these events were not home grown terrorists, they were Americans from all walks of life - young, old, male, female, white, black, latino, and asian – who are fed up with the Federal Government. It started with Bush and his increase in Medicare and other social programs.
Sorry to get off track. So this weeks hyped announcement was that BHO was going to ask each Cabinet member to look back at the budget to reduce his proposed budget by $100,000,000. That amount of budget cuts represents 0.0027% (100,000,000/3,600,000,000,000) and here is what BHO had to say during his first Cabinet meeting on Monday when he announced this combined budget reduction. “We have an obligation to make sure that this government is as efficient as possible, and that every taxpayer dollar that is spent is being spent wisely,” Obama said.
He cannot seriously believe that the American people will see this as meaningful. That amount of budget reduction is less than the AIG bonuses that the government that caused a bunch of problems a few months back. You and I have to start paying attention to what is going on in Washington and let them know that we will not just be sheep following mindlessly. We as Americans need to get involved again in the political process or we will find ourselves going from a Republic to an Oligopoly.
You have to make the choice and get involved in your county and state which will lead to getting involved at the national level.

Tax Day Tea Party . . . My Time in Nashville and Wilson County

Yesterday was a great day. I arrived at Legislative Plaza in Downtown Nashville at 11:00 am and the crowd at that time easily matched up to the 600 that we had on 2/27/08. Then by 11:15 am we had over 1,500 people getting ready to protest outrageous government spending and intrusion and support lower taxes. By the time 12:00 pm rolled around the plaza was nearly completely full and we easily had 5,000 people.
There were people everywhere – on the plaza, on the steps of the plaza, along the road on Charlotte Avenue and on the hillside of the Capital Building. When all was said and done, the Capital Police estimated the crowd to be 10,000 people. It was amazing, it was NOT organized by some GOP Organization or by Fox News. Fox News was late to the game and while I love Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck, they have not been there from the beginning. They will be the first ones to tell you that when people say they are the ones running this.
We really had no national big name speaker and we still had 10,000 people. There were also hundreds of cars driving down Charlotte Avenue honking their horns. Judson Phillips did a great job organizing the Nashville event and spent hundreds of hours of his personal time helping all the counties of Tennessee organize their own Tax Day Tea Party events. In the end, 50 out of 95 counties had Tea Parties Wednesday. Several counties pooled their resources and had multi-county Tea Parties. The Nashville event lasted a little over one hour and I stayed until about 1:30 pm before getting ready to head to my own county for our Tea Party event.
The Wilson county event started around 4:30 pm with live music, food and several speakers. My great friend Ken Marrero was the MC and he did an excellent job. By the time the Wilson county event started the temperature was about 50 degrees and very cool wind so I thought the turnout would be smaller. Not to mention it was a church night. However, the traffic on Mount Juliet Road was bumper to bumper and I know of some people that did not come because they could not get to Charlie Daniels Park.
The estimated turnout for the Wilson county event was 1,400 people. I am the Vice chairman of the newly formed Wilson County Young Republicans and we had a table there and had several people sign-up to get more information or become members. It was a great day for America and it gave me hope that we can still make a difference and it starts November 2010.
This is not about Democrat or Republican, this is about returning America to a less intrusive government and lower taxes. This is about returning America to its Constitutional Principals. Don’t be fooled by the reports you are reading in the national media about this being a fringe right-wing group that is astro-turfing. I have photos of the events and videos on my Facebook page.

Anyone Who Disgrees with BHO Administration is an Extremist

So the Department of Homeland Security today declassified a report that says anyone who disagrees with any liberal agenda item is a right-wing extremist and possible terrorist. The report sites the following as reasons to suspect an increase in recruits with no evidence to support this report:
- The economic downturn
- The first African American President
They say these two present unique drivers for right-wing radicalization and recruitment . They say that the right-wing extremists have capitalized on the election of the First African American President to recruit new members, mobilize existing members and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, BUT THEY(RIGHT-WING RADICALS) HAVE NOT YET TURNED TO ATTACK PLANNING.
In the report they also state that returning war veterans are also possible extremist terrorists. If you do not agree with the current administration or the liberal agenda on the following items:
- Reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.
- Opposed to abortion.
- Or opposed to Immigration. Which includes illegal immigration.
- Opposed to firearm restrictions and weapon bans . Indicated by high volume of stockpiling of weapons and ammunition.
- Opposed to BHO Policy changes of any kind.
- A returning war veteran
This report is disturbing because at a time when we have stopped calling Islamic extremists terrorists and called the war on terror an “overseas contingency operation”, they are focusing on their opposition by labeling everyone that does not agree with their liberal agenda a right-wing extremist.
It has saddened me to see how quickly this country has moved to an Orwellian 1984 society. The good news is that the Tax Day Tea Party events that are taking place tomorrow will show Washington, Democrat or Republican, that we are not going to let them spend our money and raising our taxes. This is peaceful and we are not a threat. We are regular American citizens who were tired of the Bush years of wasteful spending, but these past 3 months have gone well over the line.
These American citizens are not just Conservative, Libertarian, or Republican. They are also Democrats, Moderate Democrats and Moderate Republicans are tired of the spending in Washington. God is not a Republican . . . But He does believe in Liberty and Freedom

If you are like me, then you have seen over the years cars with a bumper sticker that says “God is not a Republican” or “God is not spelled GOP”.
I want to write about this since I am a Christian first and a Conservative second. What I want to talk about is not the bumper stickers themselves, but they helped to inspire this post. One other inspiration was my Pastor and his most recent series he was teaching us.
Some people have this perception that money is evil and that no one should be wealthy. However, when God talks about money He does not say that money itself is the root of all evil, He says that the LOVE of money is the root of evil (1 Timothy 6:10 NKJV.)
God wants all of us to prosper, it is His will that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9.) What that does not mean is that God guarantees that there will never be any poor people or people that will not perish. God gave us free will to choose the path that is presented to us. Will we go left, or will we go right; we have to choose. God wants us to prosper in all areas of our life; spiritually, in our family life and even financially. What God does not want to see is people use the financial prosperity He blessed them with to cause them to love their money more than their love for Him.
God is inherently against centralized control over peoples lives. If He was for centralization, then He would simply taken away our free will when he created us. Who are we to think that we know better than God that people should not be given free will to pursue life, liberty and happiness?
The founding fathers of our country were incredibly smart to understand that a people are not truly free unless they choose to be free. If people rely on their government to tell them they should be “free”, then they will not be free because they are being controlled. I am not talking about anarchy, just as God has some ground rules for His beloved we also need some ground rules to ensure those choices are not taken away by an individual or group.
So you see God is not a Republican, but He is not a Democrat either. God is an All Mighty Creator, that has a will that none should perish, but have everlasting life. But He gave His children the choice to make. Or, as the Declaration of Independence states – “that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
I love my Pastor and his teachings on how to live a joy filled life. His name is Pastor Jim and our church is about a relationship with the Father through His one Son Jesus Christ. God is apolitical and so for anyone to say that “God is Republican” or “God is Democrat” is putting a limitation on God. Let’s not put a limit on God. It should not be our place to do that. Let’s share what God wants for His children. Which is our free will to seek life, liberty and happiness.
