Who is the Party of the Average American? . . . Not Who You Might Think
April 1, 2009 by American Dad
I was listening to the radio today and they made a point that I really had never thought about. Think about this for a minute. If the Republican Party is for the rich guy and the Democratic Party is for the common man, then why do nearly ALL rich people believe in liberal policies and want to hurt “rich” people? The “rich” people they want to hurt is not themselves, it is the small business owners that drive the American Economy and bring jobs to the American worker. Who do the big Wall Street guys turn to when they need help? They turn to Democrats. Democrats believe in class envy and strive to make the people below the successful jealous of the people above them. Democrats do not believe in building the people up to reach the level that of success. They believe and try to make you believe that you should wish for the successful to be pulled down. Not pulled down so you can get up, but pulled down so they (the politician) can get more power for themselves and get you dependent on them for your daily needs instead of your own hard work.
Amazingly enough the conventional wisdom that gets pushed out by the MSM is that big rich people and Wall Street have Republicans in their back pocket. Again, look not at what is reported as fact by the MSM, but look for yourself at the records of donations and google search. One other thing is to just look at what is going on and use common sense and you will see that the Party that is for the average American is the Republican Party.
Now I know that in the past the case can be made that their was a time when the Republican Party was a party for the rich. But back in the time of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican and is widely viewed as one of the greatest “little” guy President in history. Small business owners are what has made this country the most powerful in the history of the world. And now in less than 100 days in office, with the help of TARP during the final months of the Bush Administration, we have become worse than Western Europe. Even Germany and France are telling us that America is heading in the wrong direction and leading the world towards collapse.
I am a Reagan Conservative. I believe in a small government that needs to roll back the entitlements to help those that are really in need the support. I also believe in low taxes and would prefer a fair tax system that would be a flat tax across the board. My personal belief is that life starts at conception, but I think that Roe v. Wade should be overturned and the States given back the right to ban abortion within their state borders. I believe that Americans should be given the opportunity to succeed or fail on their own all Americans needs is for the government to get out of the way.
I am not a wealthy man financially. I am a married father of three great kids with two dogs. I have found that most Reagan conservatives are just like me, we are not rich. We want the opportunity to become wealthy and provide for our family and our future generations. This is not about politics, this is about ideology and who you think should be in control of your life. Should the government be in control of your life, or should you be in control of your life.
That is the first question that you should answer before even thinking about any other question that is asked from either side.
Which will you choose?

Insurance cover always turnouts so costly these days. I often think that it could be better not to buy it!
